There are a huge range of paints and plasters that can elevate an interior in many ways. The limewash and chalk paints are a great way to get something a bit different without huge overhaul.

I also offer plastering , from a classic lime and a limewash soft finish or a natural textured Marmorino to a highly polished marble looking Venetian plaster. These can be tinted to your chosen colours, to match marble tops or bathroom tiles, creating a timeless unique finish for your home. The textures range from smooth leather-like feel of a soaped tadelakt to a chalky rustic limewash. Careful choice of colours and texture can turn a space into a warm and considered home, studio or other interior.

French Polishing

Having specialised in wood finishing, I have worked on a wide range of projects from bespoke bleached floors to antique furniture. I am always keen to approach a new project with fresh ideas and to give the client a beautiful end product through a collaborative process and sourcing the best materials. Creating surfaces that are made to be used and handled is one of my favourite aspects of this work: objects should improve with age and be a pleasure to touch. Wood is a naturally beautiful material, only needing the right choice of finish in order to complete and preserve it for functional use.

Gilding

The craft of gilding can breathe new life into an old frame or lift a room with tastefully gilded architectural details. Gold leaf is a beautiful material requiring patience and knowledge, and it can transform a tired object into a precious focal piece.

I use ancient fresco and sgraffito processes to create textural panels that could be developed into feature walls or as contemporary textured artworks. These pieces are made to reveal and celebrate the versatile qualities that lime and earth pigments have. I have always loved the learning of traditional skills and applying them with a contemporary aesthetic in mind, as I feel this continues the heritage of craft.
